A Fleeting Beauty
On-site installation, 2023
Films have always been composed of “sound” and “image.” However, before the dawning of the digital age, “images” were formed with “light” and “shadow.” This work ignites the origin of films with the lowest amount of sound and image and presents a minimalistic narrative through light and shadow, guiding viewers to reverse their senses: only hearing the sound of fireworks without seeing it visually. Light travels faster than sound as fireworks bloom in the sky like flowers, and in A Fleeting Beauty, the audio senses surpass the vision, forming an audible ray of light.
