Lonely Island

After living in another place for a long time, a re-examination of the past is carried out by reviewing the photos taken in Taiwan. A contrast between prosperity in the impression and loneliness in the reality, leads to the questioning of memory. This work overlaps the still image and the motion of light on a flat surface, uses the shimmering light of breath and heartbeat to portray the flickering impression of motherland. The barren landscape also symbolizes the isolated state of the country in the world. It is a connection that combines memory with reality and fabricates a personal fantasy.
